If you've ever wanted to learn Bengali, but lacked the time or money to take classes because of work, school, or family commitments then this post is for you! Here are 73 books containing all sorts of comics that teach readers about everyday language and culture. Along with this list of free books, I'll include information on how comics can be an effective medium for learning languages. There are also great tips at the end of the post on other ways to learn Bengali. The list will be divided into three sections: 1) Comics that are free online, 2) Free comics that are available on Amazon Kindle but not for download on a computer, and 3) Paid Bengali comics. I'll also include some great tips on how to use them with your language learning program. As always with this blog, there is no cost involved in these projects. Everything is free. Note: All of the above links are available for download only on the Amazon Kindle Store. They can be read using tools available for Kindle devices or via their website . A free Kindle app can be downloaded on most smartphones and tablets. If you would like to share your own Bengali books or comics with others, I'd love to hear about them by leaving a comment below. And if you have any requests for lists please feel free to send me an email at: sharyanihubey@gmail.comThe above list is my personal collection of Bengali books that I use to learn the language. I've also included some of the websites that teach the language, some great Bengali/English bilingual dictionaries, and other resources that might be useful for you. Please note that I do not use the above websites to learn the language. Instead, I prefer reading Bengali books on my Kindle or on paper. I find this more effective than using software because it helps me focus on the language and doesn't distract me with lots of visuals, etc. Nagarik Dhabak- The City Chatterbox Language Learning Tips: 1) Learn words on your own using picture dictionaries or flash cards. Look for difficult words that you may encounter or expressions that you come across during your reading. Then repeat their spelling and pronunciation until you’re confident about them before going forward in your book. 2) Go back and reread books that you’ve read before. This will help you both gain a better understanding of the story and help you memorize words and expressions without realizing it. 3) Make a list of the words and expressions that you encounter. Then use a bilingual dictionary to look them up to see if their meanings are similar in English or if there are other related words or expressions that could be useful for your studies. 4) Try not to spend too much time with magazines, newspapers, or songs that teach Bengali because they tend to focus on conversational language rather than grammatical rules. It’s good for gaining a basic understanding of the language but not ideal for learning it completely. cfa1e77820
